Starry Starry Night

They say that California is the land of the stars–though if you look up at the sky, it’s more likely that they’re going to be blocked out by the orange streetlights.  However, there’s still one place in Los Angeles you can see the stars, even if it is in virtual form.

The Griffith Observatory is located on the other side of the hill from us–built in the 30s and pretty much the same with a few improvements (namely, more comfortable seats, a gift shop, and a Wolfgang Puck sandwich shop).  It’s got a ton of exhibits and a really cool show about the history of astronomy.

It also happens to have some great views of Los Angeles, which we happened to catch both at sunset and after dark.  Here are some of the pictures I took with my personal, really old and kind of bad digital camera.
