Over the past few weeks I’ve heard a lot about Lucky Strike Lanes, the upscale bowling alley on Hollywood and Highland. As it turns out, my roommates and I found out that Sunday evenings are hosted by our friend’s company, Pretty Boy Promotions, so we decided to check out the scene. We approached the velvet rope as Boyz II Men and roars of laughter flooded outside from within the bar. As we walked in to the dimly lit venue we were immediately impressed. Several long tables filled the first room, owned by the classic college game of beer pong. I was thrilled when I finally caught a glimpse of the neon lights of the glow in the dark bowling alley. As if that wasn’t enough to keep us entertained, there was a karaoke lounge upstairs. As I sat aside while my roommates performed an exquisite rendition of The Devil Went Down to Georgia, I made some new friends and decided that Lucky Strike’s Sunday Funday was something I should be attending more often. The bar is 21+ after 7pm, so I must recommend Sunday nights to only those of age. For everyone else, I would definitely recommend checking it out during earlier hours, as I’m sure it is just as much fun!
