and it ended with a pinch

Never mind that title. It refers to what they in the biz call an “inside joke.” So, great summer. Figured i’d end it with a few photos from Manhattan Beach and Hollywood the other day. Something I’ll really miss about California is taking pictures on beach piers. There’s always so much happening on piers.

museum watching

Went to the Getty last weekend with Tim and his friend Alex. The exhibits weren’t great. There was one exhibit from a German photographer who was a Nazi party member in the 30’s and 40’s. Tough to root for those photos. So yeah, none of the exhibits really got me off, but the whole facility [...]

Rainbow

I’ve let some great photo opportunities pass me by because I’ve felt squeamish pointing my camera at someone, afraid they would yell at me or think I’m a creeper. One Size Fits All

At long last, a mere two days before I leave Los Angeles, I saw my first advanced screening.  The event was disappointingly similar to every other movie-going experience, with two exceptions.  1) I saw a movie before any one else!  2) For the first time, I had to endure airport-like security [...]

A Meeting With Arlene Klasky – Mother of “The Rugrats”

Everyone remembers the drum roll and signature intro music for the baby adventure cartoon, The Rugrats. When I was a kid, I loved watching the antics of Tommy Pickles and the other mischievious talking babies on Nickelodeon…and I wasn’t the only one. The show ran for over ten years and spawned three blockbuster films starring the [...]
