I wrote the instrumentals for this song with very specific imagery in mind: scenes from Elie Weisel’s Night. It’s dark and terrifying, and it’s a startling artistic statement. I’m not talking my own music up; I just wanted to create beauty in chaos, if that isn’t cryptic enough. Here are the lyrics:

Do you understand what you’re saying?

Your words they don’t make much sense, to me right now

Do you understand I get paid?

I’m a man; I live my life on my own, so you know

What if I was the one to cut you down?

From that black cross that you designed?

that this is more than symmetry?
