The Getty

Upon originally boarding my flight to Los Angeles, the woman sitting next to me informed me that I couldn’t leave without seeing the Getty Museum. She was right. Did I mention it’s free? It wasn’t a bad drive from the Oakwoods, and the line wasn’t incredibly long. We finally got into the museum and were overwhelmed. It was HUGE! We only had a couple hours, and since we spent a good portion of the time examining the view overlooking the city, I can see another trip to the museum in our future. We went to about four of the exhibits, and were allowed to take pictures at some of them. The most interesting exhibits to me were the 14th century French furniture and the Cuban photography exhibits. We had a great time chatting with the security guards and taking pictures. Apparently the French used to sleep sitting up back in the day. Whhaaaat? Yeah, I don’t know, but the bed was pretty sweet. I recommend everyone plan a day to go before the summer is over.
