This Sunday night about 15 students gathered to shoot one of this summer’s short films. Starting at 7 pm, the crew arrived at Stir Crazy on Melrose Ave to set up equipment for the Remember Me Latte shoot. The cast arrived shortly after with 12 different outfits for the 12 different days that occur in the film. The cast included some of the students in the Elon in LA acting class, one woman who acts on the side who lives in LA, my brother who happened to be in town, and myself.
The shoot went very smoothly. We got through scenes very fast because the actors were great. They ad-libbed during scenes making it so much funnier and we did about four takes of every scene so there are a lot of options for editing. We stopped at 1 am for a pizza break then quickly went back to work so we could head out at 3:30 am.
I am very happy with this shoot. My idea came to life and I am very content with it. The team worked well together and it was a lot of fun! I think that you will be able to see the teamwork and the energy of the night on screen in the final product. Remember Me Latte should be finished with editing in the upcoming week so stay tuned!
